A top location in a park in London, an unexpected sun, 25 degrees and several tents with top speakers from the entire recruitment world. Each tent with its own chair and theme, such as Disrupt, Brainfood or Unplugged. Great facilities for networking, relaxing and of course to nourish your mind (and body). The content part officially ended around 5 p.m. and then a great party, with a band called Massaoke as the highlight, karaoke with the crowd.
Last Thursday (July 11, 2019) Ronald van Driel and I were at RECFEST 2019 in London. Recfest is the 'largest' event for corporate recruiters and talent acquisition specialists. Now I have been to many recruitment events in the Netherlands and abroad, but this was really different from what I am used to and as far as I am concerned it is highly recommended to visit this event in the future. In terms of setting, Recfest is very similar to The Next Web event, but especially for corporate recruiters.
Now I can write whole epistles about all the speakers and what I learned from them, I won't do that here, but I enjoyed spending most of my time in the "Brainfood" tent, with Hung Lee as the "chairman of the day" the man behind the weekly recruitment newsletter Recruiting Brainfood. I can recommend everyone to register for that.

Normally I always ask everyone, if they have read a book or have been visiting an event, what is your 'take-away' that you would like to share with your colleagues? For me this was the statement by John Vlastelica this time:
"Speed is the love language of the hiring manager. "
A statement to my heart, especially as Recruitment Accelerator, it all about a super Hiring Manager Experience (HMX).
